Judaism and Christianity, Not What You Thought: The Jewish Trinity, Original Sin and Son of God

Jews are taught that unbridgeable chasms separate them from other religions, particularly Christianity. Such teachings are often based on a selective reading of the tradition, a rationalist version of Judaism that only became dominant in the 19th century. Drawing particularly on texts from the Zohar we will challenge key elements of this “Jewish exceptionalism.” If you are willing to abandon some clichés, you will learn that the Jewish religious imagination is far richer than you thought.
