Doesn't it seem like religious beliefs are always playing 'catch up' when it comes to human sexuality, sexual orientation and gender? Perhaps you have discussed these topics with your local rabbi, but when was the last time you learned about them from a rabbi, a priest and an imam? Join these three educators and faith practitioners in a serious conversation about where religious education meets human instinct. These three teach together regularly at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck, NJ.

Jack Baron

John B. Baron of Avalon, NJ, is a Roman Catholic priest of the Archdiocese of Newark, NJ. He was ordained in 1973, and is currently serving as Senior Lecturer in Religious Studies at Fairleigh Dickinson University in Teaneck. He holds a Ph.D from Drew University (1994) in Theological and Religious Studies and specializes in inter-faith courses from the three monotheistic traditions of the West.

Ibrahim Abdul Malik

Ibrahim Abdul-Malik, Ed.D., Ph.D. earned his first doctoral degree in Science and Education at Harvard University in 1971, and his second in Islamic Studies from Graduate Theological Foundation in 2007. An adjunct faculty member at Fairleigh Dickinson University for ten years, he co-teaches their signature course, “One God, Three Paths,” with a priest and a rabbi.

Ezra Weinberg is identified through his work as a rabbi, teacher, song leader, dance instructor, peace-builder, and environmental activist. He is a musician and skilled leader of prayer in a variety of denominational settings. He is a teacher of multifaith education at Fairleigh Dickinson University.
