Limmud Chavruta: Consumerism

Sign up or log in to save this to your schedule, view media, leave feedback and see who's attending!

In this interactive session, we will explore, debate and discuss the concept of consumerism. What distinguishes wants from needs? Is Fair Trade Jewish? Is comparison shopping ethical? Are lavish celebrations unethical? Ancient sources, modern scholarship, song lyrics and more will be used. Everyone is welcome, whether you have studied Jewish texts before or not, and knowledge of Hebrew is not required. Part of the new Limmud Chavruta series on the theme of Money. Come to one session; or even better, come to all four!
