Ruth takes enormous risk in choosing Judaism, and she is rewarded. Her descendants are among the most powerful figures in Jewish history: King David and the Messiah. This interactive text session will look at the ancestors of Ruth and Boaz, namely Lot’s daughters, Judah and Tamar. We will explore texts showing how they pushed boundaries and took risks, and how their personality traits were passed down to Ruth - and perhaps even to her descendant, the Messiah.
