Connecting people, ideas, and resources, Jumpstart co-founder & CEO Shawn Landres, PhD, models networked leadership for social good. In 2008 he co-founded Jumpstart, a research & design lab that the Jerusalem Post says has “changed the global conversation about Jewish innovation." Shawn's work at Jumpstart and elsewhere has earned wide recognition, from the White House to TIME, The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNN.com, Chronicle of Philanthropy, GOOD Magazine, and Fast.Co.Exist. The Forward named Shawn among the 50 most influential American Jewish leaders; in 2012 he received a Ted Comet Exemplar Award, given once every four years for "outstanding leadership and furthering international cooperation benefiting the Jewish people." Shawn is a Commissioner on the Los Angeles County Quality and Productivity Commission; he serves on the board of managers for Hub LA and Spark Experience, and advises The Mother Company and InVenture. He is an Ariane de Rothschild Fellow and member of the ROI Community and Selah Leadership Network. Shawn lives in Santa Monica with his wife Zuzana, where they are being raised by their two young daughters.
