Harold Levine is a member of Central Synagogue and Congregation Beit Simchat Torah and studies Torah, Talmud, Hebrew and the structure of Jewish worship. He is a regular leader of the Morning Minyan at Central Synagogue, has rewritten the siddur (prayer book) for their services, and has worked to make services more welcoming and understandable to new members. He also works to promote Jewish genetic disease screening, working with the Jewish Genetic Disease Consortium and the Canavan Foundation.
