Sasha Malamud grew up in Soviet Ukraine. She went a long way from being a materialist and atheist to practicing Yoga and Tai Chi, following Chasidic commentary, and being an active member of The New Shul – a progressive synagogue in Greenwich Village. Sasha believes that all traditions represent the same spiritual reality. Sasha is a proud mother of three grown daughters, a computer programmer, a volunteer Yoga instructor, and a birth doula. She lives with her husband in Staten Island.
