Rachel Sabath Beit-Halachmi, PhD is a rabbi and a Senior Fellow at the Shalom Hartman Institute and directs its Christian Leadership Initiative. She writes a monthly column in the Jerusalem Post and her articles have also appeared in the Jewish Week, the Jewish Journal and Sh'ma. Rachel teaches and mentors students of HUC-JIR and JTS and speaks throughout N. America. For two decades she directed leadership programs for lay leaders and rabbis. She’s currently writing a book on new liberal theology.
